‘Gopalganj’s Rosogolla’ is a tradition of the district. This rosogolla has been produced in Gopalganj for at least eight decades. Its reputation has spread both domestically and internationally. On August 21, 2023, the district administration applied for GI recognition for Gopalganj’s Rosogolla.
Bronze Jewelry
Efforts can be made to get GI recognition for bronze jewelry in Gopalganj. Numerous people in the area are involved in the production of this jewelry. Although it was produced in large quantities in the past, demand has decreased. Therefore, through GI recognition, there’s an opportunity to increase the promotion, recognition, demand, and sales of this industry nationwide. At the same time, Gopalganj’s bronze jewelry can also play a role in export trade. The artisans of this industry have formed the ‘Jalirpar Bronze Market Association’.
